Trackside at the RunningLane Track Championships

Based in Huntsville, Alabama, RunningLane is a passionate community built around the love of running, coaching, and competition.

Founded by runners, for runners

Born from a shared love of the sport, RunningLane was founded by college teammates turned co-founders, Will Rodgers and Sean Allan, after their time running at the University of Alabama in Huntsville. What started as an online coaching business has evolved into a dynamic running organization that now hosts over 20 events a year—including trail races, road races, and elite high school meets.

One of RunningLane’s flagship events is the RunningLane Track Championships (RTC), a race meet that has quickly become a favorite for high school athletes nationwide. The event was launched in 2021 as a response to canceled postseason events, giving athletes a chance to chase fast times on a big stage, but the inaugural championships were such a success (including a world age group record in the mile), Rodgers and Allan decided to making it an annual event.

"Our hope is that we can make track exciting and fun for this younger generation. Many of the past kids from RTC have gone on to become collegiate All-Americans and it’s super rewarding to play a very small part in their journey and development."

- Will Rodgers, Co-founder of RunningLane

Race Weekend Recap

This past weekend, nearly 2,000 high school athletes from 39 states lined up in Huntsville, Alabama for the fifth annual RunningLane Track Championships. Known for fast times and deep competition, RTC has become a key stop on the postseason calendar—giving athletes a chance to chase PRs and wrap up their seasons on a high note.

With races stacked across two nights, the energy was electric from start to finish. From record-breaking performances to photo-finish moments under the lights, the weekend delivered at every turn. We were proud to be there—supporting the RunningLane team, debuting our new Swiftwick x RunningLab sock collab, and cheering on the athletes who left it all on the track.
