DSG recap

Last weekend's 12h mountain bike race Dirt, Sweat, and Gears in Tennessee was a muddy mess that turned into a massive hike-a-bike, where racers carried, pushed, pulled, dragged, just not ride, their 100lb mud-caked bikes along 11 miles of trails. Never before has Swiftwick counted so many muddy socks. The great people, food, and festival atmosphere more than made up for the horrendous trail conditions.
While most other teams just dropped out and gave up racing, two pro duo teams, Outspokin'/GaryFisher and Terrapin Racing, battled it out to the bitter end. Both are big Swiftwick fans, but it must have come down to the "5% Faster" Swiftwick banner hanging in the Outspokin' tent that finally lead to the win. Thomas Turner racing on the Outspokin' team also posted the fastest lap of the day.
For Swiftwick Girl, Julia Radmann, also racing for Outspokin', this continues the series of super muddy races this year. She had a great race and took the top podium spot in the 12hr solo female amateur category.
